Aggregate Crushing Value Test

• Purpose:
  To determine the resistance of coarse aggregate to crushing under compressive load.
• Procedure:
  1. Fill a cylindrical mold with aggregate and compact it.
  2. Apply a gradually increasing compressive load until failure.
  3. Measure the weight of crushed material.

Sieve Analysis Test

• Purpose:
  To determine the particle size distribution of aggregates.
• Procedure:
  1. Pass aggregate through a set of sieves (e.g., 40 mm, 20 mm, 10 mm, 4.75 mm).
  2. Record the weight retained on each sieve.
  3. Calculate the cumulative percentage retained and passing.
